You can make the greatest impact for animals at Dallas Animal Services by donating to our nonprofit partner, Friends of Dallas Animal Services. Their programs allow us to provide a level of care above and beyond what we could otherwise provide by helping to save the most vulnerable pets in our community! Donate to Friends of DAS.
Like our population, our needs change from day to day, which is why we update our Amazon Wish Lists regularly to reflect the supplies and items we need most right now.

Shelter Wish List
Looking to drop something by the shelter? DAS is always in need of the following items:
Towels & blankets (used are just fine!)
Dog treats (especially small, stinky treats for training)
Dog toys (particularly Kongs, Nylabones, and similar “tough” items)
Cat toys
Plastic pet carriers
Leashes
Unscented baby wipes
KMR powdered kitten formula
Large and small black wire crates
Heating pads (preferably with not automatic “off” feature)
Peanut butter (smooth, not crunchy)
Large Dog Costumes (we use them for promotions!)
Kuranda Beds
Donate a Kuranda Bed! Provide a dog with a comfy, “chew-proof” bed through our partners at Kuranda! Just search for Dallas Animal Services and have it shipped directly to us!
What We Can’t Accept
We don’t really have a need for these items and some of them can actually do more harm than good for the pets in our care. Please AVOID donating the following items:
- Down comforters
- Medications
- Pillows
- Pillow cases
- Open and/or expired bags of food or treats
- Fitted sheets (regular, unfitted sheets only!)
- Makeup
- Furniture
- Electronics
