As an open-admission municipal facility, D90 Rescue Partners play an integral role in lifesaving at Dallas Animal Services. We work with local, regional, and national animal welfare organizations to provide placement for DAS pets, focusing on the shelter’s most vulnerable populations.
On any given day, Dallas Animal Services has hundreds of pets in our care. Many of these pets are eligible and in need of positive outcomes. Before becoming a D90 Rescue Partner, you’ll need to:
Complete our application online or print and complete this downloadable copy and email it to DASRescue@dallas.gov.
Email the application and a copy of your IRS determination letter to DASRescue@dallas.gov.
Applications are processed in the order they are received. To help expedite the application process, it is helpful for you to notify your references that we will be contacting them.
If we have questions about your application or need additional information, we will notify the primary contact listed on the application. Once your application is reviewed and approved, the primary contact will be notified with a welcome email.
If you have any additional questions or would like to speak with one of our staff members, please email DASRescue@dallas.gov.
We are continually working to grow our wide-ranging network of partners which includes dog and cat rescues, small animal and livestock sanctuaries, and wildlife rehabilitation centers.
When you become an approved D90 Rescue Partner, you join a collaborative community focused on providing positive outcome opportunities for the pets of Dallas. You will have access to our exclusive Rescue Partner Facebook group, where we frequently post pets in need; receive our quarterly newsletter; collaborate with us during Rescue Partner meetings, and participate in other exclusive D90 Rescue Partner initiatives.
We welcome 501(c)3 animal welfare organizations to apply to join our lifesaving efforts. Before you begin the process, we recommend you read through our D90 Rescue Handbook.
Our team supports our D90 Rescue Partners by providing animals with age-appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, and microchips before they are pulled at no financial expense to you.
