He is experiencing hematuria (blood in the urine), most likely secondary to heartworm disease, though additional conditions such as prostatitis or neoplasia cannot be ruled out at this time. Zeus will require further diagnostics and ongoing veterinary care, as he is not a candidate for heartworm treatment in the shelter setting.

With proper medical care and a stable environment, Zeus has the opportunity to become more comfortable and receive the treatment he needs.

This precious pup came to us with a visible abnormality to the right side of the jaw, likely caused by an old injury that healed improperly. At this time, they are experiencing a malaligned jaw and will require further diagnostics, veterinary evaluation, and ongoing care to determine the best treatment plan.
Despite everything, this resilient soul remains gentle, loving, and deserving of comfort and compassion. Animals with medical needs are often overlooked, but they need caring homes and support the most.
