[WebMemo] => Bucky is a sweet and calm boy who seems to enjoy human affection and walks nicely on leash. While he tends to be laid back, our volunteers have observed that he can be reactive at barriers and may overcorrect when other dogs approach him in the yard. Bucky would likely do best as the only dog in his home where he can relax and be his gentle self. Contact us about Bucky today!
Due to capacity at the shelter, this pet is currently at risk for euthanasia. We are urgently seeking placement through adoption, foster, or approved rescue.
If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing this dog, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov as soon as possible. When emailing, be sure to include a callback phone number so our team can contact you promptly.

[WebMemo] => Lola is an 8-year-old female dog who desperately needs someone to step forward for her. She has already been through more than any dog should have to endure, and right now she needs compassionate people willing to give her the care, patience, and love she deserves. Lola is currently underweight, has a painful gait, and is suspected to have mammary cancer. She will need intensive care and veterinary attention as her medical needs are evaluated and a treatment plan is determined. If you have the ability to give Lola a forever home, we would love to find her someone who will stand beside her through this difficult chapter and give her the comfort and dignity she deserves. If you cannot foster or adopt, PLEASE SHARE her story. We need to reach as many compassionate people as possible. Her lifesaving family may be just one share away.
Due to limited shelter resources and specialty medical needs, this animal is currently at risk for euthanasia. If interested in assisting this animal, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.

[WebMemo] => Lady is a 3-year-old female dog in need of a rescue, foster, or adopter who can provide continued medical care and support. She has lumbar spondylosis, buckshot present in all four limbs, flattened femoral heads consistent with a possible sign of hip dysplasia, and moderate dental disease. Lady will require further veterinary evaluation and ongoing care to assess and manage these conditions.
Lady would benefit from a stable, supportive environment where she can receive follow-up veterinary care and any recommended diagnostics or treatment. With appropriate medical management and continued support, she has the opportunity to maintain a good quality of life.
Please share Lady's information to help us find a rescue, foster, or adopter who can provide the care she needs.
If you are interested in helping Lady, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.

[WebMemo] => Shorty is an 8-year-old female dog who is facing a serious medical situation and urgently needs someone willing to advocate for her.
Shorty has a suspected cancerous mass on her left front leg (LF). The mass is uncomfortable and is already affecting her gait, making it difficult for her to move normally. She will need a surgical procedure, and based on her medical evaluation, amputation is likely. At 8 years old, Shorty should be spending her days feeling safe and loved — not struggling with a painful mass. If you can't foster or adopt, PLEASE SHARE Shorty's story. Her person may be out there right now, and one share could be the connection that changes everything for her.

[WebMemo] => Please Help Twiggy
Twiggy is a sweet cat who has a painful ulcer on the tip of her tongue. Unfortunately, due to her behavior, we are unable to safely medicate her, which makes treating her condition extremely difficult.
We’re hoping to connect with anyone who has experience caring for a difficult-to-medicate cat with a tongue ulcer, or who may know of a veterinarian or rescue resource that could help us find a safe solution for Twiggy.
This animal is at risk for euthanasia. If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.

[WebMemo] => Ray is a 6-month-old male puppy who should be enjoying all the fun and excitement that comes with being a young dog. Ray has been diagnosed with severe entropion, a condition where the eyelid rolls inward and causes the eyelashes and surrounding hair to rub against the eye. This can be extremely uncomfortable and, if left untreated, can cause serious damage to the eye. We are looking for a special foster or adopter for Ray.
Someone who can commit to his veterinary appointments.
Someone who will make sure he receives his surgery. And most importantly, someone who will show this young puppy that his medical needs do not make him any less deserving of love. If you can't take him home, PLEASE SHARE his story. Ray's person may be out there right now, and your share could be what helps connect them.
Due to limited shelter resources and specialty medical needs, this animal is currently at risk for euthanasia. If interested in assisting this animal, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.

[WebMemo] => King is a 5-year-old male dog who is currently dealing with a painful condition affecting his left eye. His eye is causing him chronic discomfort, and he will need ongoing veterinary care to manage the condition. Depending on his veterinary evaluation, King may require chronic, long-term eye care or an enucleation (surgical removal of the affected eye) to give him the best possible quality of life. At just 5 years old, he has so much life ahead of him. He deserves a safe home, a comfortable bed, good food, gentle care, and a person who will make his comfort and happiness a priority. Dogs can adapt remarkably well after eye removal, and the goal is to help King move forward into a life where he can be comfortable, happy, and pain-free. If you can't foster or adopt, PLEASE SHARE his story. The person who can help King may be out there right now, and your share could be the connection that changes his life

[WebMemo] => Hi everyone!
My name is Milo, and I am officially the 17th member of The Grooming Glow-Up Project!
I may be a senior pup, but I make friends wherever I go. Once the grooming team helped me come out of my shell, my personality really started to shine. I had a full senior exam, and the good news is that aside from some much-needed dental work, I'm in pretty great shape for an older guy!
Before my grooming appointment, I was living with a lot of discomfort, but that never stopped me from being kind to every person and animal I met. I'm gentle, friendly, and easy to walk. I don't pull on the leash, and I've loved every walk I've been on so far.
The Grooming Glow-Up Project is going the extra mile to help me feel my best again. Now all that's left is finding a loving, comfortable home where I can spend my golden years surrounded by kindness, belly rubs, and people who love me.
Could that home be yours?

[WebMemo] => Joker is a male dog who presented bright, alert, and responsive (BAR) with chronic otitis and dermatitis, with probable underlying atopy (environmental allergies). His ongoing skin and ear disease requires continued medical management, including appropriate dermatologic evaluation, treatment, and long-term allergy management. Chronic otitis and dermatitis can be uncomfortable and may require consistent medications, ear care, and monitoring to prevent recurrent infections and worsening discomfort. This level of ongoing medical care and recovery support exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.
Despite his medical needs, Joker remains deserving of a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive the veterinary care and long-term management necessary to improve his comfort and quality of life. Joker needs a committed adopter, rescue, or foster placement able to provide continued treatment and follow-up for his chronic skin and ear disease.
This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter. If you are interested in helping Joker, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.

[WebMemo] => Chips is a male kitten in need of a rescue, foster, or adopter who can provide continued medical care and support. He is currently experiencing a fever and shifting limb lameness, which is concerning for probable calicivirus-associated arthritis. He will require further diagnostic testing and ongoing veterinary care that we are unable to provide at our facility.
Chips would benefit from a stable, supportive environment where he can receive follow-up veterinary evaluation, diagnostics, and any recommended treatment. With appropriate medical care and monitoring, he may have the opportunity to improve and thrive.
Please share Chips’ information to help us find a rescue, foster, or adopter who can provide the care he needs.
If you are interested in helping Chips, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.

[WebMemo] => Herring is a 2-year-old male dog who is facing a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing attention. He suffers from severe, chronic dermatitis, a painful and uncomfortable skin condition that will require long-term care and management. Unfortunately, DAS cannot provide the long-term care Herring needs, which means finding a committed foster or adopter is especially urgent. Chronic skin disease can be frustrating, but Herring is not his diagnosis. If you cannot take him home, PLEASE SHARE this post. Herring's person may be out there right now, and your share could be what helps him find the home that can give him the care DAS cannot provide.

Due to limited shelter resources and specialty medical needs, this animal is currently at risk for euthanasia. If interested in assisting this animal, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.

Ray has been diagnosed with severe entropion, a condition where the eyelid rolls inward and causes the eyelashes and surrounding hair to rub against the eye. Someone who can commit to his veterinary appointments.
Someone who will make sure he receives his surgery. And most importantly, someone who will show this young puppy that his medical needs do not make him any less deserving of love.

[WebMemo] => Hi everyone!

[WebMemo] => Please Help Snow
A Tiny Kitten Facing Amputation
Snow is a precious kitten who has suffered a compound fracture and is in desperate need of veterinary care. Sadly, her injury is so severe that amputation may be necessary to give her the best chance at healing and living a comfortable, happy life.
This little one has already been through so much, and we want to give Snow the chance she deserves. We’re asking for help with her medical care, as well as shares to help get her story in front of people who may be able to assist.
This animal is at risk for euthanasia. If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.

Due to limited shelter resources and specialty medical needs, this animal is currently at risk for euthanasia. If interested in assisting this animal, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.
