[WebMemo] => Juniper is a female dog looking for a rescue, foster, or adopter who can provide the specialized medical care and support she needs.
Juniper has severe, generalized orthopedic abnormalities affecting her entire skeleton. She has significantly decreased bone density, deformities of all four limbs, and changes to multiple joints that limit her ability to fully extend her legs and move comfortably. In addition, she has abnormalities of her spine, including evidence of previous injuries in her lumbar vertebrae.
Juniper will need a comprehensive orthopedic evaluation to determine the underlying cause of her condition and to develop the most appropriate treatment and long-term management plan. She would benefit from a stable environment where she can receive continued veterinary care, pain management as needed, and support for her mobility.
Please consider sharing Juniper's information to help her find a rescue, foster, or adopter who can provide the specialized care she needs.
Juniper is at risk for euthanasia due to her medical needs. If you are interested in helping Juniper, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.

King has a deep wound on the tarsal area of his left rear leg that requires ongoing wound management beyond what we are able to provide in the shelter. [WebMemo] => This 4-week-old female kitten is looking for a rescue, foster, or adopter who can provide the specialized medical care she needs.
She has a proptosed globe (displaced eye) that requires ongoing veterinary care. Because of her very young age and small size, surgical treatment is not a safe option at this time. She will need a stable environment where she can receive supportive care, close monitoring, and follow-up veterinary evaluations as she grows and becomes a candidate for treatment.
A quiet, supportive placement will give her the opportunity to continue growing while receiving the care she needs.
Please consider sharing her information to help her find a rescue, foster, or adopter who can provide continued medical care and support.
This kitten is at risk for euthanasia due to her medical needs. If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.

[WebMemo] => Meet Penny
Penny is a gentle 4-year-old, 56-pound sweetheart who’s looking for someone willing to show her that the world can be a kind place. New people and unfamiliar situations can be scary for her, so she’s hoping to find a calm, patient home where she can decompress and build confidence at her own pace.
Once she’s outside, Penny is a dream. She potties right away, walks beautifully on a leash in quiet environments, and doesn’t react to other dogs or even squirrels. Because she’s easily startled by sudden noises or movement, she’ll need a secure leash and should always be buckled in with a dog seatbelt during car rides.
Beneath her timid exterior is a calm, loving girl who simply needs time to realize she’s safe. Every small step she takes is a victory, and watching her learn to trust will be incredibly rewarding.
If you have a peaceful home and a patient heart, Penny could be the companion who’s been waiting for you. She doesn’t need perfection—just someone willing to give her the chance she’s never had.

[WebMemo] => Woof, I’m Rebel. I’m a very kind-hearted 2-year old girl with a very excitable demeanor once I warm up! Immediately, I’m a friendly and calm soul. I’m very patient and polite while waiting to go outside and allowing pets while I wait. I really enjoy being outside where I can get some zoomies and some sun! I like other dogs and become gently excited at the opportunity to play with others. Maybe you’d love to play with me too?
Environment: I enjoyed being in the car! I’d really be a good fit for a home with a yard where I can release some energy, or go on a run with my owner. Once I get some energy out, I’m happy to be by your side and lounge!
Essentials: I appear to be potty trained, and can sit. I’m also wonderful on a leash, and only minor pulling when I see a squirrel (but who isn’t!). Otherwise, I’m great and respectful on a leash.
Personality: I’m a high energy girl but with so much love to give! I’d love to be outdoors for a while and sniff around. I’m also joyful of other dogs and respect boundaries.
Others: I’m well-mannered and kind to other dogs! I’d make a great sister. I haven’t been exposed to cats, but I’d be open to slow introductions. I didn’t have close interactions with kids, but with my happy go lucky energy, I think we’d make a great fit.

[WebMemo] => Meet Penny
