[WebMemo] => Meet Simba, an 8-year-old gentleman who prefers a calm and quiet environment. From our volunteer observations, Simba seems to enjoy his own company and tends to keep to himself, though he does allow other dogs to greet him politely. He walks well on leash and would likely do best in a peaceful home where he can relax and settle in at his own pace. Come meet Simba today!
Simba is at risk for euthanasia due to the current shelter capacity. Currently the shelter is above capacity to adequately house and care for animals. Simba has been in shelter for over 30 days and would benefit from individualized attention with a foster, adopter or rescue partner. Please dasadopt@dallas.gov if interested fostering or adopting. Please provide your full name and phone number.

[WebMemo] => Jay is a 6-year-old boy who is in need of help and medical care. He is currently suffering from severe bilateral ear infections, bilateral eye infections, and possible KCS (dry eye), all of which are causing significant discomfort and pain. Unfortunately, his medical treatment has been difficult because his behavior makes it unsafe to properly administer the care he urgently needs.
Despite everything he’s going through, Jay deserves compassion, patience, and the chance to feel comfortable again. No dog should have to continue suffering without the medical attention and support they need.
We are hoping to find a rescue, experienced foster, or adopter who can provide Jay with the care, understanding, and treatment he deserves. With the right environment and medical support, he has the potential to feel much better and enjoy a happier, healthier life.
Please consider helping Jay or sharing his story so it reaches someone who can.
If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.

[WebMemo] => Cherry is an energetic and playful pup who brings lots of enthusiasm to everything she does. In new settings she may take a moment to get her bearings, but once she settles in her fun, affectionate personality really shines. She enjoys meeting people, seeks out attention, and loves to run, play, and stay active, making her a great match for someone who enjoys an on the go companion. Cherry already knows sit, is treat motivated, and has shown she can learn quickly, though she may benefit from continued guidance as she works on channeling her excitement, especially during play or on leash. She has shown interest in other dogs and can be eager to greet them, and may do best with structured introductions that help keep interactions positive. With consistency and outlets for her energy, Cherry has the potential to grow into a fun, loving companion who is always ready for the next adventure.
Cherry is at risk for euthanasia due to the current shelter capacity. Currently the shelter is above capacity to adequately house and care for animals. [WebMemo] => Nala is a sweet girl who is in desperate condition. She is severely emaciated, her body showing just how long she’s gone without the care and nourishment she needed. Right now, she is weak, vulnerable, and in urgent need of help.
Nala is at risk for euthanasia.
She doesn’t deserve for her story to end this way. With proper nutrition, medical support, and a safe place to rest, dogs like Nala can recover—but she won’t get that chance without someone stepping in immediately.
She needs a committed rescue, foster, or adopter RIGHT NOW to give her the care she so desperately needs. Time is critical, and there are no guarantees without help.

[WebMemo] => Deuce is a smart, observant 2-year-old who’s still learning to feel safe in new environments and may take a little time to build trust. With patience, positive reinforcement, and a calm approach, he shows he’s treat-motivated and has the potential to grow into a loyal companion in the right home.
Due to capacity at the shelter, this pet is currently at risk for euthanasia. We are urgently seeking placement through adoption, foster, or approved rescue.
If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing this dog, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov as soon as possible. When emailing, be sure to include a callback phone number so our team can contact you promptly.

From our volunteer observations, Junior is social and tolerant with other dogs, preferring a laid-back approach to play. He's currently heartworm positive and receiving treatment at the shelter. Junior is currently at risk for euthanasia due to DAS being overcapacity in our dog population. Junior is beginning to show signs of kennel stress. [WebMemo] => Karen is a female dog with a persistent upper respiratory infection that is not improving despite supportive treatment. She is currently not eating well and has a collapsing trachea, which can significantly affect her breathing and comfort. In addition, Karen has a mammary mass that requires further medical evaluation and ongoing care. These medical conditions require diagnostics, treatment, close monitoring, and recovery support that exceed what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Despite her medical challenges, Karen remains sweet and is doing her best while receiving supportive care. Karen needs a safe, compassionate placement where she can receive continued veterinary evaluation, treatment, and supportive care to improve her comfort and quality of life. This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter. If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov

[WebMemo] => Lovie is a female dog being treated for a severe upper respiratory infection. Despite supportive care including fluids, an appetite stimulant, and two antibiotics, she is not eating and has shown no significant improvement. Upper respiratory infections can become serious when pets are unable to maintain nutrition and hydration, and Lovie requires ongoing medical monitoring and supportive care beyond what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.
Despite feeling unwell, Lovie remains sweet and tolerant while receiving treatment. She needs a safe, compassionate placement where she can continue medical care, supportive feeding, and close observation to give her the best chance at recovery.

[WebMemo] => Butter is a fragile 9-week-old kitten who urgently needs help and medical care. This little one is currently suffering from a ruptured globe, is dehydrated, and is extremely fearful and feral, making treatment very challenging. Despite his fear, Butter is still just a baby who deserves compassion, comfort, and a chance to heal.
His eye injury is painful and serious, and without proper medical attention and supportive care, his condition will continue to decline. He needs a rescue, foster, or experienced adopter who can provide the patience and medical support necessary to help him recover and feel safe.
Butter has already been through so much at such a young age. With the right care and environment, he has the opportunity to heal and experience the life every kitten deserves.
Please consider helping Butter or sharing his story so it reaches someone who can.

Despite her injury, Peaches deserves the opportunity to recover and live a happy, pain-free life. She is looking for a rescue, foster, or adopter willing to provide the care and support she needs during this difficult time.
Please consider helping Peaches or sharing her story so it reaches someone who can.

[WebMemo] => Dominique is a calm and gentle girl who enjoys attention from people and will happily soak up pets and affection. She has a sweet, easygoing nature and often seeks out her handlers for comfort and companionship. Dominique tends to keep to herself in busy environments and may need a little time and space when meeting new dogs, as she seems to prefer a more independent pace. She would likely do best with a patient adopter who can help her feel secure and continue building her confidence. With her loving personality and relaxed demeanor, Dominique has the potential to be a devoted companion in the right home.
Dominique is at risk for euthanasia due to the current shelter capacity. Currently the shelter is above capacity to adequately house and care for animals. Dominique has been in shelter for over 30 days and would benefit from individualized attention with a foster, adopter or rescue partner. [WebMemo] => Bolt is a sweet dog who urgently needs help. He is showing narrowing of the intervertebral disc spaces at L5–S1, a painful condition that can affect mobility and quality of life. He may be uncomfortable, struggling, and in need of proper veterinary care to relieve his pain and prevent things from getting worse.
Bolt is at risk for euthanasia.
He doesn’t deserve for his story to end like this. With medical care, rest, and support, dogs with spinal issues can improve and still live happy, comfortable lives—but he won’t get that chance without someone stepping in right away.
Bolt needs a committed rescue, foster, or adopter immediately to give him the care he so desperately needs. Time is critical, and he cannot wait.

[WebMemo] => Lenox is a 2-year-old boy who needs urgent medical attention. He has an abnormal left eye (OS) that will require enucleation (eye removal) or a full exam and diagnostics with a veterinary ophthalmologist to determine the best course of care.
Right now, Lenox is likely uncomfortable and in need of relief. Despite this, he is still a young dog with so much life ahead of him—he deserves the chance to heal and live pain-free in a loving home.
We are urgently hoping to find a rescue, foster, or adopter who can step in and get Lenox the medical care he needs. While this may sound serious, dogs adapt incredibly well, even after eye removal, and can go on to live happy, full lives. Due to this Lucky is at risk for Euthanasia

[WebMemo] => Cloud is a male kitten who presented bright, alert, and responsive (BAR) with mild lameness of the right hind limb. Diagnostic radiographs revealed a fracture of the right lateral distal tibial physis with associated mild swelling. This orthopedic injury is painful and will require splinting of the right hind limb (RH) with frequent splint changes and close monitoring of the right front limb (RF) for any additional problems or complications. Ongoing orthopedic management and recovery support exceed what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.
Despite his injury, Cloud remains sweet and resilient while receiving supportive care. Cloud needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive continued medical management, monitoring, and appropriate recovery care to restore comfort and mobility. This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter. If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov

[WebMemo] => Meet Junior, a 7-year-old gentleman who tends to be on the cautious side but warms up with a little patience. From our volunteer observations, Junior is social and tolerant with other dogs, preferring a laid-back approach to play. He's currently heartworm positive and receiving treatment at the shelter. Come meet Junior today!
Junior is currently at risk for euthanasia due to DAS being overcapacity in our dog population. Junior is beginning to show signs of kennel stress. We feel they would benefit from being placed into a home environment with an adopter, foster, or rescue partner. Please dasadopt@dallas.gov if interested fostering or adopting.

She has a sweet, easygoing nature and often seeks out her handlers for comfort and companionship.

If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov
with your contact information so we can call you back.

[WebMemo] =>
Ollie is a 6-year-old pup who seems to enjoy the company of other dogs and likes to engage in physical, wrestling-style play. From our observations, he can get excited during interactions and may need some guidance to help him stay calm. Ollie appears eager for attention and would benefit from an active household that can provide structure and exercise. Come meet Ollie today!
