Touch-A-Truck Adoption Event

Experience the different services your city offers up-close by taking a look at their trucks! A variety of City of Dallas departments will gather at the library to meet residents, offer information and provide photo ops with their service vehicles.

At this this event:

• Check out Dallas Animal Service’s adoption truck and local outreach vehicle.
  • Rescue animals will be available for adoption!
• Meet your Neighborhood Police Officer from the Dallas Police Department and take a look inside a real police car.
• Take an up-close look at a Sanitation truck, and learn more about what happens to our waste when we throw it away.
• Peek inside a real fire truck that Dallas Fire-Rescue uses to respond to emergencies and help people stay safe.

After snapping some pictures and meeting your City heroes, spend time at the craft table, chat with your neighbors or take a look at the books, media and other resources available inside the library.
