[WebMemo] => Charles is a handsome, gentle soul with a heart as big as his whiskers. He loves quiet companionship, and soaking up affection from the people he trusts. Charles is FeLV/FIV positive and experiences recurring upper respiratory infections (URI), so he'll need an adopter who can provide ongoing veterinary care and a little extra attention to help keep him comfortable and healthy. Despite these medical challenges, Charles still enjoys life and has so much love to give.
He would thrive in a peaceful indoor home with someone who understands that special-needs cats can make incredibly rewarding companions. Charles is looking for a family who will see beyond his diagnosis and cherish him for the sweet, resilient cat he is.
If you're ready to open your heart to a truly special feline, Charles is ready to fill your home with love, gentle purrs, and gratitude.
Due to limited shelter resources and the intensive level of care required, this animal is currently at risk for euthanasia. If interested in assisting this animal, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.

[WebMemo] => Meet Dawny, a social girl who seems to enjoy the company of people and other dogs! From our volunteer observations, she tends to have a laid-back play style and can be a bit nervous in new situations, so she may need some time to warm up and build confidence. While she's generally steerable and people-oriented, she can be assertive with some larger female dogs, so a meet-and-greet would be helpful to find her best match. Contact us about Dawny today!
Dawny is currently at risk for euthanasia due to DAS being overcapacity in our dog population. Dawny is beginning to show signs of kennel stress. We feel they would benefit from being placed into a home environment with an adopter, foster, or rescue partner. Please email dasadopt@dallas.gov if interested fostering or adopting. [WebMemo] => Tudy is a gentle girl who tends to keep to herself in playgroup settings. From our observations, she can be nervous in new situations and seems to prefer her own space rather than active play with other dogs. She may do best in a calm, patient home where she can take her time building trust at her own pace. Contact us about Tudy today!
Tudy is currently at risk for euthanasia due to DAS being overcapacity in our dog population. Tudy is beginning to show signs of kennel stress. We feel they would benefit from being placed into a home environment with an adopter, foster, or rescue partner. Please email dasadopt@dallas.gov if interested fostering or adopting. Please provide your full name and phone number.

[WebMemo] => Velma came to our shelter with swimmer syndrome, a condition that causes her legs to splay out, making it difficult for her to stand or walk. The good news is that swimmer syndrome can often be successfully treated, especially when caught early. The challenge is that recovery requires intensive daily physical therapy, specialized care, and lots of hands-on time.
Unfortunately, our shelter isn't equipped to provide the level of rehabilitation Daphne needs.
This animal is at risk for euthanasia. If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.

Please provide your full name and phone number.

[WebMemo] => Oso is a handsome dog who is still adjusting to the shelter environment. He has shown that he can be social with other dogs in playgroup, engaging with the group and allowing greetings while displaying a dainty and gentle play style. In the shelter, Oso has often appeared unsure and overwhelmed by new people and handling, and he may need time to feel comfortable before interacting. Staff and volunteers continue getting to know him and learning more about his personality each day.
Due to capacity at the shelter, this pet is currently at risk for euthanasia. We are urgently seeking placement through adoption, foster, or approved rescue.
If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing this dog, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov as soon as possible. When emailing, be sure to include a callback phone number so our team can contact you promptly.

[WebMemo] => Meet Nani, a 2-year-old girl who tends to be more reserved and observant in new situations. From our volunteer observations, she seems to prefer keeping to herself and may need some time and patience to build trust with people. Nani has a gentle, laid-back nature and would benefit from a calm home where she can blossom at her own pace. Come meet Nani today!
Due to capacity at the shelter, this pet is currently at risk for euthanasia. We are urgently seeking placement through adoption, foster, or approved rescue.

[WebMemo] => Meet Winter, a gentle boy who tends to keep to himself but seems open to meeting new friends at his own pace. From our volunteer observations, Winter appears to have a laid-back personality and may benefit from a patient family who can help him build confidence. He is heartworm positive and will need treatment, which the shelter can discuss with you. Contact us about Winter today!
Winter is at risk for euthanasia due to the current shelter capacity. Currently the shelter is above capacity to adequately house and care for animals. Winter has been in shelter for over 60 days and would benefit from individualized attention with a foster, adopter or rescue partner. Please email dasadopt@dallas.gov if interested fostering or adopting. Please provide your full name and phone number.
