[WebMemo] => Meet Ivory, a sweet 1-year-old pup who seems to enjoy cuddles and has shown friendly behavior with people. From our volunteer observations, Ivory appears to be social with other dogs once she warms up, and she tends to keep a gentle, laid-back demeanor in playgroup. While she can be a bit shy at first in new situations, she has shown that given a little time and space, her sweet personality shines through. Come meet Ivory today!

[WebMemo] => Meet Moe — the 5-year-old who stopped an entire sporting goods store in its tracks.
On a Daycation to Scheels, Moe walked in like he owned the place — and by the time he left, kids and parents alike had stopped to pet him, fawn over him, and say goodbye. That's just Moe. He's the kind of dog who turns a regular errand into an event, because people can't help themselves around him. He loves car rides, coffee shops, and anywhere with good smells — and he will absolutely give you puppy dog eyes while you eat. He's gentle with kids, walks well on leash, and once he burns off his initial energy and gets comfortable, he melts into the most easygoing, chill companion you could ask for. He's an explorer first and your new best friend second — but he always gets there.
Moe just needs a person who's ready to go on adventures with him. Are you in?
This pet needs your help today. Our shelter is currently over capacity, and this animal would greatly benefit from the comfort and care of a foster or adoptive home. If you’re able to help, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your full name and phone number, and our team will call you as soon as possible.

[WebMemo] => Meet Hooper — the 2-year-old who will wag his whole body at you and then wait patiently for you to catch up.
Hooper is just a genuinely good boy. Sweet, playful, treat motivated, and friendly with everyone he meets — people and dogs alike. He walks great on a leash, is potty trained, and has the kind of loose, wiggly energy that makes you smile the second you see him. He's not over the top, not dramatic, just happy, social, and ready to be someone's dog.
Sometimes the best ones are exactly what they look like. Come meet Hooper!

[WebMemo] => Meet Harley!
Harley is a beautiful, gentle 2 year old sweetheart. She can be a little shy at first, but with patience and kindness she blossoms into the most affectionate, loving companion. Once she feels safe, she adores pets, cuddles, and being close to her people. She’s a total love bug who just wants to be near you.
Harley finished her heartworm treatment in February, and now that she’s all done, she’s loving her walks again. Sunshine, fresh air, and little adventures make her so happy. At home, she’s calm, cuddly, and perfectly content chilling on the couch — the ideal mix of sweet, easygoing, and low maintenance.
Due to capacity at the shelter, this pet is currently at risk for euthanasia. We are urgently seeking placement through adoption, foster, or approved rescue.

[WebMemo] => Meet Rivers — the 71-lb 2-year-old who has somehow already figured out the whole "chill" thing.
Rivers is sweet, calm, and genuinely just here for a good time. He walks great on a leash, is potty trained, loves treats and affection, and will let you pet him all day long. He's social with other dogs and — most importantly — has been spotted enjoying the pool. At 2 years old with this energy level, he's basically a gift.
If you're looking for a big, gentle, low-drama companion who will keep you company without requiring a lot of chaos, Rivers is your guy.

[WebMemo] => Clair is a cat who was noted to have feline miliary dermatitis consistent with flea saliva allergy, a skin condition that causes significant irritation and requires consistent flea control, skin care, and medical management to resolve.
Additionally, Clair has eyelid agenesis (eyelid coloboma), a congenital condition where a portion of the eyelid did not develop normally. This can lead to chronic irritation of the eye and increased risk of corneal damage, and often requires specialized ophthalmic care and potentially surgical correction to protect the eye and maintain comfort.
Managing these conditions requires consistent treatment, monitoring, and potential specialty care, which exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.
Despite these challenges, Clair remains gentle and is doing her best while receiving supportive care.
Clair needs a safe, compassionate placement where she can receive continued medical care, monitoring, and the specialized treatment necessary to maintain comfort and protect her vision.
This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter. If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov

[WebMemo] => Vidia is a young puppy whose urinalysis revealed significant abnormalities, including red blood cells too numerous to count (TNTC), white blood cells, and struvite crystals present in the urine. These findings are extremely abnormal for a puppy and raise concern for an underlying urinary tract issue that requires further diagnostic evaluation to determine the cause.
Conditions like this may require additional testing, medical management, and close monitoring, which exceed what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.
Despite these concerns, Vidia remains gentle and is doing her best while receiving supportive care.
Vidia needs a safe, compassionate placement where she can receive continued veterinary evaluation, diagnostics, and treatment to identify the underlying cause and support her long-term health.
This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter. If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov

[WebMemo] => Olivia is a gentle, affectionate girl who has quickly won over everyone she meets. She has a **fractured left proximal ulna (olecranon)** and will require **surgical repair or possible amputation**, which is beyond the level of medical care our shelter can provide.
Despite her injury, Olivia remains sweet-natured and cooperative with handling. She needs a rescue partner who can help her get the treatment she deserves and give her the chance to heal comfortably.

[WebMemo] => Gem is a female dog who presented bright, alert, and responsive (BAR) with a large, infected wound on her neck. The wound shows significant inflammation and infection and will require prolonged wound care, including regular cleaning, medical management, and close monitoring to ensure proper healing and prevent further complications.
These types of wounds can be painful and slow to heal, especially in high-movement areas like the neck. Gem will need a safe, clean environment where she can receive consistent wound management and supportive care over an extended period of time. This level of ongoing medical care and monitoring exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.
Despite her injury, Gem remains gentle and tolerant while receiving supportive care. She is doing her best and would benefit greatly from a calm, compassionate placement where she can continue treatment and focus on healing.
This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter. If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov

[WebMemo] => Palo is a gentle, sweet senior who just needs a little time — and a few treats — to show his warm heart. He can be a bit nervous at first, with a tucked tail and shy demeanor, but once he relaxes, his calm, wiggly charm shines through. Treats are the key to his heart, and he’ll quietly wait for your attention before coming over for gentle pets. Palo has lovely manners, a peaceful spirit, and so much love to give to someone patient enough to let him come out of his shell.

This playful pup is social with people and dogs, walks well on a leash, and has the zoomies of someone who has been waiting very patiently for a backyard. He loves toys, loves attention, and will wag his tail and stretch out on the floor just to say hi from his kennel. Chevy is still working on his manners and is looking for someone who will help him keep learning — but the heart is already there, and it is a good one.
Chevy is currently at risk due to DAS being overcapacity in our dog population. Chevy is beginning to show signs of kennel stress. He is a high energy dog that needs both physical and mental stimulation to thrive! Come meet Chevy today.
We feel they would benefit from being placed into a home environment with an adopter, foster, or rescue partner. Please email dasadopt@dallas.gov if interested fostering or adopting. Please provide your full name and phone number.

[WebMemo] => Meet Lucky, a 6-year-old dog who tends to be more people-oriented during his time in playgroup. From our observations, he keeps to himself around other dogs but seems to allow gentle greetings when approached. Lucky appears to have a laid-back personality and can handle corrections when needed. Come meet Lucky today!
03/13/26 11:47
Lucky is a dog who was found to have bilateral hip dysplasia along with a possible partially torn cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) in the left hind leg. These orthopedic conditions can cause significant discomfort, instability, and mobility challenges, and often require ongoing pain management, monitoring, and potential surgical evaluation to improve long-term comfort and function.
The level of orthopedic care and follow-up management required for these conditions exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.
Despite these challenges, Lucky remains gentle and is doing his best while receiving supportive care.
Lucky needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive continued medical management, monitoring, and potential orthopedic evaluation to improve his comfort and mobility.

[WebMemo] => Homles is an 8-year-old pup who enjoys getting out of his kennel to stretch his legs and explore the yard. He walks nicely on leash and is steerable when out and about. Homles may be a little selective with other dogs and can take time warming up to some people, but once comfortable he enjoys having space to relax and play outside. He is heartworm positive, but treatment options are available.

[WebMemo] => Meet Dobie — the 3-year-old who will rest his head in your lap like he's known you forever.
Dobie is a gentle, easygoing soul who just needs a little time to trust you — and once he does, he is ALL in. He knows "sit" and shake, walks great on a leash, and will come running with a wagging tail when you call his name. His favorite move? Putting his paws on you to ask for pets, then resting his head in your lap like that's just where it belongs.
Sweet, calm, and gentle with everyone he meets — Dobie is the kind of dog who will quietly become your whole heart. ??

[WebMemo] => Blondie is a quiet, sensitive girl who is still adjusting to the shelter environment. She can be shy when meeting new people and often prefers to observe from a distance while she takes everything in. Blondie has shown that she is aware of her surroundings and tends to move at her own pace as she grows more comfortable. With time, patience, and gentle encouragement, she may begin to feel more confident and open up. Blondie could benefit from a calm environment where she can continue to decompress and build trust.
Blondie is currently at risk due to DAS being overcapacity in our dog population. Blondie has been in care for over 30 days and is beginning to show signs of kennel stress. We feel they would benefit from being placed into a home environment with an adopter, foster, or rescue partner. Please dasadopt@dallas.gov if interested fostering or adopting. Please provide your full name and phone number.

[WebMemo] => Meet Harley!

[WebMemo] => Meet Chevy — the high-energy goofball who will zoom and jump into your heart!
