Cardi’s condition requires advanced diagnostics, ongoing medical management, and potential surgical intervention, which exceed what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Despite these challenges, Cardi is doing her best while receiving supportive care. In addition, Cardi has excessive tail folds, lichenification and erythema of the mammary glands, a raised mass on the ventral neck, and thinning of the coat with erythema on the hind feet, indicating widespread chronic skin disease.

She was treated with Cytopoint for pruritus and received an enrofloxacin injection, as she was unwilling to take oral medication. Cardi’s condition requires advanced diagnostics, ongoing medical management, and potential surgical intervention, which exceed what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Despite these challenges, Cardi is doing her best while receiving supportive care. Injuries of this nature often lead to loss of sensation and use of the limb, placing the kitten at risk for further trauma and complications.

Due to the severity of the injury, amputation of the affected limb is recommended to improve comfort and quality of life. This level of surgical intervention and post-operative care exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.

Despite this challenge, Laparas remains gentle and is doing their best while receiving supportive care.

Laparas needs a safe, compassionate placement where they can receive the surgical treatment and recovery support necessary to improve comfort and long-term well-being.

This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide.
