09 Mar DFW Pets Are Family Event Will Bring Help to Pet Owners in Need
We are gearing up for the next DFW Pets Are Family event and we need pet food to give out to families in need!
A good neighbor comes through when you least expect it – and often when you need it the most. We’re calling on the Dallas community to show their support for the pet owners in our city who need a little extra help this spring.
At the DFW Pets Are Family event, sponsored by CUDDLY, Dallas Animal Services will help provide pet food, vaccines and pet supplies to pet owners in need. We’ll be there with our friends at Spay Neuter Network, Dallas Pets Alive, Operation Kindness, SPCA of Texas, The Love Pit, Dogs Matter, Fort Worth Animal Care & Control, Saving Hope Rescue, Chase, GoodPup and Don’t Forget to Feed Me.
The event takes place at the Dallas Tax Office (8301 S Polk St) on March 18th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Events like these help us to keep pets in their loving homes and out of the shelter. This is just one of the ways we are working towards our goal to #BeDallas90 – to make Dallas a place where 90% or more of pets who enter shelters find positive outcomes.
If you are able to donate, please consider helping your neighbors in need feed their pets. This community-wide event involves several nonprofit and municipal animal welfare agencies that are bringing supplies, food, wellness, and support to families in our area who need assistance.
With shelters all over Texas at capacity and 1 in 6 families in Texas facing food insecurity, events like these are critical in our efforts to keep pets out of shelters and in their loving homes where they belong.
